Five Rivers Flow Arts Code of Conduct 

At Five Rivers Flow Arts, we are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. Our Code of Conduct sets forth the expected standards of behavior and conduct that all participants must adhere to. By participating in our organization, you agree to uphold these principles and contribute to a positive and supportive community.

1. Respect and Inclusion:

   – Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and kindness regardless of their background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.

   – Foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, included, and where diverse perspectives are celebrated.

2. Professionalism:

   – Conduct yourself in a professional manner during all interactions related to Five Rivers Flow Arts, including, but not limited to workshops, community events, meetings, and communication both online and in person.

3. Safety: 

   – Always prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and others during all activities.

   – There will be no consumption of mind altering substances during Five Rivers Flow Arts events. Any person obviously under the influence may be asked to leave.

   – Follow safety protocols, guidelines, and instructions provided by the organization and board of directors.

– This document is unable to contain every scenario that will ensure the safety of Five Rivers Flow Arts and the community. Please ensure you use critical thought, common sense, and good judgement. If you are unsure if something would pose undue risk, ask a member of the board.

   – Report any safety concerns or hazards promptly to the appropriate person or authority.

4. Cooperation and Collaboration:

   – Foster a spirit of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual support among individuals.

   – Be open to constructive feedback and actively contribute to a positive and constructive environment.

   – Respect the ideas, opinions, and contributions of others and encourage an atmosphere of creativity and growth.

5. Non-Discrimination and Harassment:

   – Five Rivers Flow Arts has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying, including but not limited to: verbal, written, physical, or online harassment.

   – Report any incidents of discrimination or harassment promptly to any member of the board of directors. 

6. Confidentiality:

   – Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all members, volunteers, and participants.

   – Safeguard any confidential or sensitive information shared within the organization.

7. Compliance with Policies and Laws:

   – Familiarize yourself with and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies of Five Rivers Flow Arts.

   – Abide by the rules and guidelines set forth in our organizational documents, including the bylaws, policies, and procedures.

8. Intellectual Property:

   – Respect and honor intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and other forms of creative expression.

   – Do not use or reproduce any copyrighted material, including music, choreography, or visual designs, without appropriate authorization or licensing.

   – Seek permission and give credit to the original creators or rights holders when utilizing or referencing their work.

   – Respect the intellectual property of fellow participants, instructors, and collaborators.

Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including restriction, dismissal, or other appropriate consequences as determined by the organization. We reserve the right to address any conduct that is deemed detrimental to the organization or its participants. 

By participating in a Five Rivers Flow Arts event, you commit to upholding the principles of this code of conduct and to contributing to a positive and inclusive community.
